A Pennsylvania woman pleaded guilty to numerous charges on Wednesday including the sexual assault of multiple students. 38-year-old Megan Carlisle, a former paraprofessional at a Lancaster County middle school, is guilty of near-identical charges involving both a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old.
Carlisle pleaded guilty to “involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor obscene or sexually explicit contact/communication with a minor, disseminating sexually explicit materials to a minor, and two counts of corruption of minors.”
During the 15-year-old boy’s time at an in-school suspension program, Carlisle was the staff member assigned to his classroom. There, she allegedly touched him inappropriately. After school hours, she sent him sexually explicit photos and videos on Snapchat, which were circulated between students.
Between 10:30 and 11:00 that night, Carlisle drove the young boy to a nearby parking lot and sexually assaulted him. The following day, she sent him “$20 through Cash App and purchased vape pods for him.”
The former school employee was charged in May 2023 for the abuse of the 15-year-old and in June for the 14-year-old’s case.
According to the case, “a Lancaster County judge will order a sentence at a later date following an investigation and a sexually violent predator determination.”
After the perpetrator’s arrest, police searched her home, cell phone, and car. They found significant evidence to suggest that the two young boys may be among many more victims.
Megan Carlisle is no longer employed at Elizabethtown Middle School, and according to a statement, the school district was fully cooperative with the investigation.
